Cryptocurrencies are a more popular investment for millennials than shares and bonds

Research conducted by Opinium, on behalf of London Block Exchange, has found that by the end of next year, cryptocurrencies such as bitcoin are set to become a more popular investment for millennials than the traditional shares and bonds.

A third of those aged between 18 and 35 said they would invest in cryptocurrencies over the next year with 11% of these definitely going to make an investment and 17% seriously considering it.

A tenth agreed that they are the asset of the millennial generation, while a quarter regret not putting their cash into them earlier.

When looking at the difference between generations – 57% of over 55s said they would definitely not invest in cryptocurrencies compared to 17% of millennials.
