The survey, involving 2000 UK households, was undertaken to find out how aware consumers are of renewable heating technologies and what they have done or plan to do to become more energy efficient.
Most respondents were focused on relatively small measures such as energy efficient light bulbs and double glazing, with very few having looked at switching to a renewable heating solution.
This is despite the fact that the majority of respondents were willing to install energy efficiency improvements if they could make an average saving of £247 per year ? a figure far lower than what can be achieved by installing a renewable heating solution, which can cut your heating bill by over 45%.
